Versus was born in 1993, its parent's a marriage of Donatella Versace and some safety pins. The brand is loud, edgy, urban. It's rock music and hip hop remixed. Earlier this year J.W Anderson worked with Donatella to create a collection which was more than successful at paying homage to the brand on the year of it's tenth birthday. Today, M.I.A x Versus Versace was released. The pieces are ghetto-tastic, nostalgic of the late eighties-early nineties, they're punchy, gobby, loud, and plain old COOL. This is urban street wear redone in the most glamorous, fabulous, upmarket way. It's not for the faint hearted and it shouldn't be worn with any kind of caution.
