Alexander Wang SS14

Of all the nyf ss14 collections so far, Alexander Wang is definitely my favorite, and more so, perhaps my favorite Wang collection to date!! Details such as the v-knecklines, midriff baring tops, ruffles and androgynous essence reflect past collections, whilst the use of motif (parental advisory) and the alexander wang logo take the label in a new direction, but keep the subtlety present. Wang has mixed feminine pieces such as the babydoll crop top with androgynous shapes like the wide leg trousers, to create an office ready capsule collection which could be taken through to eveningwear, thanks to the playful accents. The pieces are sexy, but not in an obvious way. Would it be too much for me to describe this collection as evolutionary for Mr Wang? I think we can only expect bigger and better things to come.

My favorite pieces are the grey ruffled v-kneck dress, the grey two piece worn by Hanne Gaby Odiele, the entire otufit worn by Jourdan Dunn, the boxy cropped shirts and of course those beautiful shoes!! Plus how cute does Wang's niece Aila look in her parental advisory tee, mini Balenciaga bag and socks and sandals?
